BRIAN ROTH
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mr. Brian Roth has served in a wide variety of roles across the energy and building science sectors for over 20 years.
Brian is both a professional engineer and professional accountant, experienced with corporate governance, finance, and commercialization. Since 2017, Mr. Roth has been dedicated to making the transition to renewable energy sources both technically and economically feasible, working as CFO and CEO with organizations developing and bringing to market new solar products and technologies.
Mr. Roth is a graduate of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia with a Master of Business Administration degree, and of the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Roth is also a graduate of the Chartered Professional Accountant Certification Program by the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.
Brian joined MSBD Ltd in January 2025.
Myke Agecoutay
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Mr. Myke Agecoutay served as Chief of the Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation from 2016 to 2018. Prior to serving as Chief, he was an elected Band Councillor/Headman for the nation from 2012 to 2014. From 2003 to 2010 he was the elected Tribal Vice Chief of the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council (FHQTC).
Myke was also instrumental in the development and administration of QBOW Child & Family Services, serving as the Director of Administration from 2010-2018. He is also the former Board Chairman of the following significant organizations: Silver Sage Housing Corporation, Regina Treaty/Status Indian Services, All Nation Healing Hospital, and Leading Thunderbird Lodge.
In addition to managing various Infrastructure projects, Mr. Myke Agecoutay also supervises the nations Indigenous Procurement approach with various stakeholders within our Treaty #4 Territory.
Myke served as the company’s first CEO from 2020-2025.
DR. SHANE KEEPNESS
TECHNOLOGY & GOVERNANCE
Dr. Shane Keepness is a member of the Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation and currently is an assistant professor in Indigenous Studies at First Nations University of Canada, and recently received his PhD in the Indigenous Governance Program at the University of Victoria.
Shane is researcher, writer, and senior business analyst. He has a personal business in real estate and is an avid investor in cryptocurrency and digital assets. He is currently a researcher for the Indigenous Hockey Research Network (IHRN) for the Indigenous elite athletes in the NHL and the Olympics.
Shane also likes to collect oral history for his community, specifically on Chief Cheekuk and his early life on the prairies prior to Treaty #4 in 1874. Shane’s research interests: community-based research, health, Indigenous politics, sports, and Indigenous plains history.
